How I Work with Leaders

Three pathways. One philosophy: deep work, structured engagement, durable change.

1:1 Executive Coaching

Private engagements for senior leaders navigating big shifts, often at significant scale.

A six-month engagement, designed around your specific edge. We work on the things that actually move the needle at your level: the leadership identity you operate from, the systems that let you stop being the bottleneck, and the political and strategic intelligence to lead at a level beyond your title.

This is not generic or curriculum based coaching. Every engagement is built around the specific work in front of you and we create a tailored development plan which runs as bi-weekly 90-minute sessions with direct access between them.

Limited capacity, I only work with a handful of active clients at any time.

What Actually Changes

Six shifts I see consistently in the leaders I work with.

Team & System Leverage

Stepping out of the loops you've been holding without dropping the work. The culture, boundaries, delegation and accountability that let your team perform at full capacity without running every decision through you.

Strategic Clarity Under Pressure

The ability to hold complexity, see the second-order consequences and make calls under genuine uncertainty without retreating into the operational comfort zone.

Leadership Identity, Grounded

A clearer sense of who you actually are as a leader, separate from the role, the title or the version of yourself you built to get there. The quiet kind of authority that doesn’t need to assert itself.

Sustainable Capacity

Performance that doesn’t quietly cost you the things you’re working for. The internal model that lets you operate at this level for the next 10 years, not the next 10 months.

Decision Quality

Faster, clearer decisions and less second-guessing. The discipline to act on what you already know, and the honesty to surface what you’ve been avoiding.

Political Intelligence

Reading rooms you can't fully control. Building alliances at the level above your line. Influencing where formal authority doesn't reach, without trading away what you actually stand for.

About me

I came to coaching the long way round.

Engineer by training, Master's, mechanical. Almost fifteen years in product and operations leadership, most recently as Head of Product at a startup I helped scale from zero to £4M in annual revenue. I learned what high performance looks like from the inside and I also learned what it costs when the operating model behind it isn't built to hold the weight. I burned out. I rebuilt, slower and more deliberately. That experience is the foundation of how I coach now.

What I do well is hold the weight of significant decisions alongside the leader making them. Whilst we might draw on frameworks to support insights and develop thinking, I don’t rely on them or lecture from them. The work draws on coaching, neuroscience, and behavioural change, but it lives in your week, your team, your decisions, your judgement.

I'm ICF-accredited and a continuing student of the science of performance and behavioural change.

I also run The Mastery By Design Lab, a studio and community for leaders earlier in the arc, often making the shift from running operations to running strategy. It's where I develop and pressure-test original frameworks (the Alignment Codex, the Performance Tax) with leaders building the operating model for the kind of responsibility and scope that can mean burnout, failure and/or isolation if done wrong.

What Clients Say

“Working with Greg has been such a positive experience. He helped me navigate company politics and tough professional situations with clarity and confidence. Everything we worked through resulted in something practical and actionable, which made a real difference.

During our time together, I implemented new processes across my team, learned how to influence stakeholders, and had difficult (but necessary) conversations around pay and equity. Through it all, his positivity never wavered - I always left our sessions feeling empowered. I’d recommend him to anyone looking for an effective, results based coach.”

- Ina B., Product Leader & Entrepreneur

“Greg helped me, with kindness, compassion and few insightful questions! to get really clear and navigate a really complex decision.

I felt much more confident in my choice and able to move through it. The impact has been long lasting and I would happily work with him again and recommend him to others. ”

- Maireni P., CEO Real Investment

“I cannot recommend Greg highly enough! The difference that these last 6 months has made on the trajectory of my life is incredible. I genuinely didn’t think that this was possible (which, interestingly enough, was something that had to shift!) but the impact of our time together has been huge.

People around me have even commented on the difference.

Thank you Greg!”

I bring the same standards to coaching that my clients bring to their leadership: structured, evidence-based, and accountable to outcomes. If you'd like to speak directly with a current or recent client, I'm happy to arrange an introduction. - Greg

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Senior leaders working through consequential change. Most are in executive or senior leadership roles, often navigating a transformation, a board shift, a succession or scope change, or a personal inflection that doesn't fit neatly into a development plan.

The common thread is that what got them here isn't quite what's needed next.

  • Six months, bi-weekly 90-minute sessions, with direct access in between. We start with a leadership diagnostic and build a development plan tailored to your specific situation. Some clients extend to 12 months. A small number do shorter, 3 month intensives.

  • 1:1 engagements are priced per engagement, not per session, with transparent fees agreed before we start. I'll share specifics on the intro call once I understand the scope.

The investment is meaningful, and intentionally so.

Group and retreat prices vary depending on the location. Enquire for the latest information.

  • Three things. I've led teams and built businesses myself, so I understand the texture of senior leadership from the inside, not just the framework. I combine ICF-accredited coach training with ongoing study in neuroscience and behavioural change, so the work is grounded in evidence, not vibes. And I'll tell you what I see, even when you'd rather I didn't. The work is direct, sometimes uncomfortable, and built to hold up under real pressure.

  • Coaching is a focused partnership that helps you see your situation more clearly, decide better, and act with discipline. It's not therapy; it doesn't treat mental health conditions. It's not consulting; I won't hand you answers. The work activates your own thinking and holds you to the standard you set.

  • A 30-minute private intro call. No charge, no pitch. We talk about what you're working on, what you've tried, and whether the work I do is the right fit. If it is, I'll send a proposal. If it isn't, I'll point you towards someone who might be.

  • Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. I'm there to keep the work moving and to say the thing that needs saying, including when it's uncomfortable.

Part of the value is having someone interrupt the patterns and the stories you've quietly built around them.

This level of work isn't always comfortable, and it isn't meant to be. But it's never harsh for its own sake. The pressure has a point: it's there to produce something durable, not to prove anything.
